It is a tradition: every year when in the Dutch provincie of Zeeland the major cultural festival 'Zeeland Nazomer Festival' (Zeeland indian summer festival) is held, the abbey and church tower in the capital of Zeeland, Middelburg, is furnished with something that attracts the attention. At 70 meters high there have been disco balls, flashing lights, and this year orange Chinese lanterns. See the photos of the situation before and after sunset.
The Zeeland Nazomerfestival is a major cultural festival in Zeeland. With a central festival heart in Middelburg where musical performances and poetry performances are held. The tower Lange Jan (Long John) stands right next to the festival heart. On other places in the province theatrical spectacles take place. This year there is even a performance in a building where radio active material is stored.
