A heated debate has recently arisen in Tanzania following the PM comment whilst he was replying the prompt questions in the Parliament concerning the status of Zanzibar in Tanzania.

The PM stated and insisted that Zanzibar is not a country but a county a claim, which was disputed by Tanzania opposition Camp inside the Parliament and Ruling party MPs especial from Zanzibar who claimed that Zanzibar has never lost its sovereignty after the union of 1964 and it was Tanganyika who lost its statehood.
The Tanzania Prime minister insisted that he has never made mistake in his speech about the status of Zanzibar led the emergence of throwing words between Zanzibar and Mainland MPs for about 2 months whereas each side claim that they are right by giving different examples,
Zanzibar support their Statehood by saying that Nyerere has never mentioned in the Union that Zanzibar lost its sovereignty and that was the reason Zanzibar has its own legislatives, executive, president as well as Flag on the other hand the Government of Zanzibar remained intact during the collapse and the formation of the Tanzanian government recently,
whilst Mainland MPs insisted that Tanzania is one and Zanzibar is semiautonomous which lost its sovereignty as did Tanganyika government which was inserted inside the Union Government after the formation of the United Republic of Tanzania in 1964.

Tanzania president Hon.KIKWETE a.k.a (JK) has added a fuel to the fire during his briefing in the Parliament by differed his speech with the PM. Pinda while he mentioned three times "the country of ZANZIBAR" on the other hand he talked about TANZANIA international which is one and locally which comprise of the fully autonomous of Zanzibar and Tanganyika status inside the union.
His speech was well welcomed by opposition MPs in both side by recognizing the status of Zanzibar statehood and the existence of Tanganyika government inside the union although the word TANGANYIKA is useless at present but political analyzers has risen a doubt about his speech when he stated its existence whether the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania itself is Tanganyika Government and emerge the new image of two government of Zanzibar and Tanganyika and rather then Zanzibar government and the union Government.
According to President speech which differ from the PM`s one, it rose a question of accountability in the ruling party, do you think some leaders in CCM take their own decisions and that is why there is differences in their speech? or Political views led them to go against the party policies and if not why all this happening inside CCM and rarely if not never in the Opposition Parties?
