Hanna in The Turks And Caicos Islands
September 1, 2008 | Providenciales | Vetting explained
Overnight Hanna has developed from a tropical storm to a menacing hurricane, whilst sitting precariously close to the Turks & Caicos Islands. Yesterday most patrons at the local bar hadn't given her much thought but today it is a different story.
The local joke is that she is lingering here so long because she is having problems getting a visa to visit the USA.
These pictures were taken in Leeward Palms, Providenciales. T.C.I.

The best iReports get vetted and used on CNN platforms.
The label “Not vetted by CNN” lets you know that this story hasn’t been both checked and cleared by a CNN editor.
iReport stories that have a red "CNN iReport" stamp in the corner have been vetted and
cleared. That means they've been selected and approved by a CNN producer to use on CNN,
on air, or on any of CNN's platforms.
