The Right to Marry!

I'm sick of all of the arguments about same sex marriage, I am especially sick of hearing about "it's a sin and god doesn't like it." I believe that what someone does in the privacy of their own home is no ones business but their own. If someone wants to play video games till 3 am why should that concern anyone else? Letting two people of the same sex get married isn't hurting anyone, and it shouldn't concern anyone that isn't involved.
Love is love it shouldn't matter on the person's age, race or gender. I think that people have to constantly have something to complain about, no matter what the subject is. It used to be 'wrong' for interracial couples to get married or even date. Between 1913 and 1947 interracial marriage was illegal in 30 states. Slowly over the years it became acceptable and finally in 1967 it was made legal in all 50 states. Denying same sex couples the right to marry is a form of discrimination. One of the many reasons this country is going down the drain is that there are people, our 'leaders', that sit there and write all these documents claiming that we have all these freedoms yet we can't use them? Do they only apply to certain people? That doesn't sound very 'free' to me.
I don't believe in any of this religious nonsense and I personally think people should keep their religious believes to themselves and not go around pushing it on other people. There are people who go around quoting the bible and saying 'don't do this because the bible says it's a sin' and 'the bible says we have to do this' and so on. I think that if your going to live by what the bible says live by the whole damn thing and don't just pick and choose which chapters to live by and which people to punish. There is a part in the bible that says if your child disobeys you are to throw stones at it. I don't see people going around preaching this one. And how about Leviticus 19:28 which states "Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print or tattoo any marks upon you: I am the Lord." Meaning that God doesn't want you to get tattooed, and if that is the case then why are there so many religious nuts out there with crosses tattooed on them? And please explain to me this, if God hates gays why does he keep making them?
Marriage is not a religious thing. When people get married they don't have to do it in a church. People need to stop treating it like it's a thing of religion, I believe we have a little something called Separation of Church and State! Because its not possible, you don't see same sex couples going around and birthing out babies that they can't take care of. it's the straight people that do this, they go around having sex and end up getting pregnant with a child they don't want or can't take care of and what happens? It ends up getting aborted or put up for adoption.
I believe that instead of standing there arguing about something just because you don't believe in it I think they should just legalize things such as abortions and same sex marriages. Not matter what people are arguing about there will always be two sides, one side that's for it and the other side that is against it. I understand that there are some people out there who are against abortions for what ever reason but just because you don't like it doesn't mean you have to stop other people from getting it. Make abortions legal so those who want them can get them, if you are against it you don't get one. Same with same sex marriages let people get married to whom they want, let people do what makes them happy, its their life they can make decisions for themselves.
