Buddhist in USA threatens to set self aflame if war not over by 6:00 PM!
March 31, 2008 | Johnson City, New York | Vetting explained
A Buddhist clothed in crimson robes caused the Main St. of the triple cites in NY to be closed for almost an hour. Traffic on Route 17 was also affected when he climbed to the top of a car and doused himself with the contents of a gasoline container. He screamed obscenities and profanities at on lookers and demanded that all the WMD industries in the world be closed and the war end by 6:00 PM or he would set himself on fire. Firefighters used a water cannon on the man as state troopers tackled the demonstrator and brought him to the ground. The contents of the container was determined to contain water. The self described Buddhist has since been charged with the felony of reporting a false incident.
