The one thing you can say about politicians is their ability to see an opportunity and with out a moments hesitation take full advantage of it. The choice of Sarah Palin for John McCains running mate is a prime example. The assumption that because she a woman all the disappointed Clinton supporters will flock to the McCain campaign is beyond insulting to women it also demeans all the hard working families that live, pray, hunt, drink and play hard who have the ability to see when they are being pandered to. Sara Palin may indeed become a political force to deal with someday but to throw her into the middle of a fight just because she can appeal primarily to women only shows just how stuck in the past the Republican party is. I'm not going to take cheap shots at the woman because to be honest she hasn't been around long enough to merit any. At this point she appears to be a person whos become a pawn of a campaign that is desperate to find relevance.
