The thought of Vice President Palin is disturbing. The thought of
"President Palin" is much more disturbing. There is a very real
possibility Governor Palin could become President if John McCain is
elected President. At 73 he might not live another four years. If
not, this country could be in trouble because being a Governor in
Alaska does not compare to being a Governor or even a Senator in
other states. Anyone that has been to Alaska knows that Alaska is
isolated and a very different place from the rest of the US. In
fact life is so different from the rest of the United States that
that it is like going to a different country. The problems facing
most residents in Alaska are far different than those facing the
majority of Americans. Except for the weather, life is far simpler.
In contrast being a Mayor in any large US city takes a much higher
level of sophistication and is much more complicated than being a
Governor in Alaska. There are 20 cities and nearly 100 counties in
the US with a higher population than Alaska. It is very clear that
Governor Palin was picked because she is a Woman and not because of
her leadership abilities. This is sad because there are hundreds if
not thousands of more qualified individuals in the United States
that could serve as Vice President. Think about it.........Most
Americans never heard of Governor Palin until John McCain threw her
into the media spotlight.
