Obama's Socialism - Good or Bad for America?
It has become obvious to a great many voters that the candidacy
of Barack Hussein Obama is based purely on a strong advocacy of
moving away from a capitalistic democracy and creating a strongly
socialistic government and society in America.
This is fueled by not only his proposals for heavily taxing the
so-called wealthy in America, but by his ever increasing promises
and proposals for ever larger governmental paid programs, making
people in all walks of life, more dependent on our government which
will, without doubt, increase overall cost to the taxpayers and a
huge increase in the size of the federal government.
Is Socialism bad because of the people in charge, or because the
system itself is self corrupting?
The idea of Socialism is utopian. A society where everyone
selflessly does his or her job for the common good and expects no
more in return than anyone else gets, so everyone gets taken care
of equally. The idea being to take from the current "wealthy class"
and give to the "middle class" and the poor "for the common good"
and to develop equality in our corrupt society. The age old
have/have not argument which seems to appeal to those at the lower
end of society.
In "small" communities of "like-minded" people this has even
worked, and sometimes worked well.
There are two basic problems with a socialistic society:
Very few people in "any" society "think alike", regardless of
the amount of "indoctrination", or "brain washing" spread through
political doctrine or community agitation or "organization".
Since not everyone thinks alike, and since mankind is
"inherently greedy" and "selfish" it does not take long for the
controlling political leaders to decide that what they do for the
community is worth more than what some or all of the other people
do. Our country has been moving toward a socialistic society since
the great depression and the long time liberal career politicians
who have controlled our government for most of the last 50 years
are perfect examples of that segment of society who feel they
contribute more to society and are therefore "worth" more. We can
all see this by looking at the attitudes, salaries and benefits
they have voted for and provided themselves, which are obviously
well in excess of what they provide for the masses in our society.
Liberals have not been totally alone in this thinking, some
Conservatives when holding the majority have also operated along
the same lines and in the same fashion. History in our government
has shown that the longer an individual holds office, the more
protective of his or her self perpetuation becomes, and it is
obvious their ideals of "serving the public" become pure
rhetoric.
Once this happens others in the society begin to follow suit,
and the system begins to break down quickly.
Socialism places a lot of power in leadership in an effort to
maintain the status quo, so much so in fact that leaders tend to
move the Socialist community towards Communism. Communism is a
totalitarian system that places "godlike powers" in the hands of
the government officials. Since power corrupts, and absolute power
corrupts absolutely you eventually wind with people like Stalin,
Mao, Castro, Hitler et al running for office, being elected and
running the show. Even leaders who entered office on what seemed to
many as "purely good intentions" soon become intoxicated with their
"inflated worth", "total power" and become corrupt despots. While
this is done in the guise of equality for all . . . or else, it
does not motivate people to produce anything to share with the
community, they think they are owed their share without excelling
in their jobs. It removes incentive for people to be productive and
destroys' any semblance of work ethic very fast. It also can be the
direct cause of millions of murders of dissidents, students,
artists, and innocents whose identities are determined, by the
despotic leaders, to be "mixed up", previously "loyal people" the
leaders grow suspicious of, and the list of abuses of power grows,
as history has shown us.
The Socialistic system of government always corrupts itself over
time, as we can now begin to see in our society and government
today. We should and must conclude, that moving even further toward
a system of "Socialism in America" could and would be "inherently
bad" for America's future and the American Dream which has made our
society the strongest in history.
If the "nature of man" were more pure and innocent and not
controlled by "ego" "greed" and "selfish motivation" socialism
might work, but that is not the case in America today and probably
never will be. It is inherently wrong and irresponsible for today's
politicians, community organizers and social agitators to promote
such a society, by shouting from the rooftops that "America needs
Change", as either directly or indirectly, it becomes a "cause" and
develops false hope for the ignorant, the very poor, the
downtrodden of society, who either don't know and understand
history, or actually believe they can be better off in such a
society.
A socialistic society without equal individual opportunity to
advance and "realistic" incentives to improve one's life and
provide for a better future for their children soon fails and total
despair and lack of productivity cause a complete collapse of
society.
We have all seen different styles of Socialism in Europe and
around the world and while some aspects of what some peoples in a
socialistic society "appear" to have, like free medical insurance
and the like, none of these societies are or ever have been as
strong economically as America. It is my opinion that, by moving
closer to socialism and not reinforcing and building on the
capitalistic ideals and strengths which made us great, our
government, of the last 50 years, has greatly reduced our ability
to maintain our economic strength and position as the strongest,
wealthiest nation in the world today.
Americans need to fully understand that Obama's and the liberal
career Washington Politicians who have sponsored his candidacy of
"CHANGE FOR AMERICA" is "without doubt" a continual and further
move towards total dependence on the Federal Government and a
Socialistic form of government.
Think carefully, when you are deciding who you trust to govern
America's and your children's future.
DO YOU "REALLY BELIEVE" A "CHANGE" TO COMPLETE SOCIALSIM IS THE
BEST PLAN FOR AMERICA'S FUTURE???
GOOD OR BAD, WHAT DO YOU THINK?
