As this 2008 school year for most Gwinnett County school students start to become more routine, and as the days start to become shorter and shorter ,day by day, after Labor Day.

The electrifying notions that runs wild in the minds of our kids start to focus on the upcoming holiday, which is Halloween.

During this time many students discuss with their friends and family members about who and what they are going to be on this sacred day of "Trick or Treat".

Are you going to dress-up as a wicket witch,a jolly goblin,Batman or a revived Elvis.

They are all great choices to choose from. You see,Halloween is about showing your respect to your own special super hero and/or role model.

Unfortunately most kids have only the opportunity to admire fictional characters from comic books, movies, music and some from sports teams.

But for you little ones who are just learning to walk ,by the time you start going door-to-door to Trick or Treat, perhaps you might want to consider a "Real Life" hero from Georgia.
His name is Elliott Brack,a true hero of Georgia....And a people's champion of Gwinnett County.
He is an editor, educator, writer ,journalist publisher and author.

A "MUST HAVE" BOOK
"Having an interest in Gwinnett County history, particularly since 1950, Elliott Brack's book, Gwinnett: A Little Above Atlanta, is a must have.
"Informative and enlightening, it gives the origin and development of the all the major governmental agencies and a picture of the business community as well a highlighting those persons who made it happen. Elliott's book, containing little known facts and long forgotten stories, explaining the phenomenal growth of one of the fastest growing counties in the nation will be read and quoted for years to come."
