I recently got in touch with Tricia Vita, the Administrative Director of the Coney Island History Project.
From the CIHP's website:
"The Coney Island History Project, founded in 2004, is a not-for-profit
organization that aims to increase awareness of Coney Island's
legendary and colorful past and to encourage appreciation of the Coney
Island neighborhood of today."
More interviews on the way! I am working on getting in touch with concerned Brooklyn residents, and possibly the world's most qualified Coney Island historian.
In response to assignment: Coney Island amusement park closing
