iReport —

There is a great deal of hullabaloo in the Russian media as to how Georgians demolished Tskinvali. But let's face the facts. Georgia's army remained  in Tskinvali only for about 2 days and was forced to leave the town after massive air bombardment by Russians. The question is if Russian bombs were pin-pointing individually every Georgian tank and armored vehicle? Of course, not.

The truth is Russians caused most of the destructions of Tskinvali while they used their aviation to oust Georgian troops. And it was Russia's aviation's most massiv, as well as indiscriminate attack, using the the-called carpet-bombing method, which killed numerous civilians, alongside with Georgian soldiers, and caused the lion's share of destruction in the town. Russians carried out absolutely indiscriminate, carpet bombings of Tskinvali as they were conducting an offensive against Georgian troops. This also explains the fact why no reporters were let in Tskinvali to decoment the destructions. Russian authorities feared that some might photograph the debris of Russian bombswith which they had  heavily raided the town!

In fact, this is a well-tested war model successfully used by Russia. First it was applied in Beslan when terrorists took hundereds of shcoolchildren as hostages and held them in a school building. Russians blew up the whole school building together with the hostages, and then Russia's prosecutor's office started investigation against terrorists.  Here we see a similar approach - first Georgians fire ‘Grads' at Tskinvali and take it. In reply, the Russian army starts "liberating" Tskinvali, but because they could not do it using other means (Russian tanks were stuck at Java), Russia subjected Tskinvali to the carpet bombing - killing Georgian troops, together with any civilian population that may have remained after evacuation, together with houses, together with anything at all along their course. This, indeed, is an invincible approach! The question is, what's next, or rather, WHO'S NEXT?
