In my opinion Sarah Palin is not qualified to be a Vice President. I do not believe she has enough experience to chosen for such a position. I do think she was primarily chosen as Sen. McCain's running mate because she is a woman and that upsets me. There are plenty of other Republican women that are more qualified than her to be Sen. McCain's choice.

It has been almost two weeks since she has been unveiled as the Republican Savior and all we have heard about her is the scandals that she has been involved in. Was her brother-in-law fired wrongfully? her husband/ she supported a group that wants Alaska to declare independence from the states, Her 17 year old daughter is pregnant, she might have had an affair and now the person who she supposedly had the affair with asked to have his divorce records sealed and last but not least her not telling anyone that she was pregnant until she was in her seventh month.

I have heard little or nothing about what she has accomplished and that bothers me. Yes, we all know that she knows something about energy but statements such as "She knows a lot about foreign policy because Alaska is close to Russia" does not comfort me. I listened to her speech during the Republican National Convention and I wasn't impressed at all. I understand that the new role of the Vice Presidential candidate is an attack dog but I feel like she took the attack to another lever and did not tell us anything about what she has accomplished especially when facts in her speech were actually not really true... I also don't really trust her. I think that the only way that we will be able to learn about her further is when the Vice Presidential debates occur to see how she is able to handle herself

In no way at all have I attacked Gov. Palin. I have simply stated my opinion of her which is the topic. If people don't agree with me oh well! we are all entitled to our opinions but lets just keep it respectful. I have read that a couple of people say that I am unqualified to make a statement about her well I'm a poly sci major and we discuss the elections everyday so before I wrote this I was well informed and knowledgeable  on the topic of this years candidates as well as any other election.. if you want to criticize by opinion go ahead but come on people lets keep it respectful!!
