iReport —

Air Force footage of US Air Force Airmen landing a huge C-17 in Antarctica at night with no lights, just some reflective cones.

This mission was the first ever landing on Antarctica with Night Vision Goggles.

We talked with the reporter in the video.  The crew did conduct an ERO, engine running offload and yes, the did take off pretty quickly due to weather getting back to New Zealand -- 13Sept08 2220.
