Due to my involvement with the fabulous London sims, as SL Editor/ Reporter for Virtually London (Lite) ( http://www.virtuallylondonlite.co.uk/), I am happy to say I have access to quite a lot of upmarket, classy events that are now taking place in Second Life. There is a definite difference with the high street shop styles and the Haute Couture style quality fashions becoming available in the virtual world. Designers have evolved during the few years since SL came into existence, and you can spot an avatar a mile off who pays attention to detail, to shop in the right places, getting that groomed and chic appearance that leave the rest of us looking like we bought our clothes and accessories from the local supermarket. That's why I had great pleasure in accepting an invitation to the launch of a new web site from Kirk Claymore and Maddox DuPont of KMADD Enterprise (incorporating KMADD City, MADesigns, MAD Studio, MAD Modeling Agency, KMADD Advertising Inc and KMADD Art Centre). Over the last two years Kirk and Maddox have totally changed fashion for SL men, bringing quality fashion and style to the neglected male market in the virtual world. The theme of the evening was the glamorous world of OO7 James Bond and I teleported into a splendid opulent casino style setting enriched with gold interiors and grand staircases. The event was opened by Risa Bright, MADD Agency Manager and lead model, who gave a special thanks to various people who contributed to the launch party, including Studio Red, the events company ran by Xochi Tolsen who provided two sims for the opening. Risa went on to introduce Kirk and Maddox who took it in turn to explain the services of each part of their fabulous enterprise. Kirk told the audience that MAD Studio has re-opened its doors, this time gathering some of the best Second Life photographers under one roof. He added "MAD Studio is glamour and fashion photography studio catering to fashion designers, models and Second Life publications. Visitors of KMADD City would have an opportunity to be treated to amazing talents of: Turtulutu Chaffe, Aldero Akami, Boe Cortes and Maddox DuPont. Kirk then told us that "MAD Agency is one of the most important aspects of KMADD Enterprise as it promotes designers, provides employment and gives us all an excuse to interact by taking time from what we were doing to enjoy the show and our community" he went on to say MAD Agency would not be what it is today without it's people." "MAD Agency will have a live blog for our event posts, designer interviews, with tips and tricks from fashion professionals to inspire and motivate models across all of Second Life." Maddox said "MAD Image is Male and Female fashion blog that will be focusing on promoting what is great in Second Life's fashion. MAD Image will also provide both male and female customers with a complete make-over service that consists of custom shape design and style assistance. Maddox continued "It is a time to launch the mother of them all - KMADDCity.com. One site for everything KMADD. Wealth of information about all aspects of our business is at your disposal with only few clicks." Maddox added "It is site that we hope would be helpful resource to our customers, future clients and people that are looking for inspiration to start the enterprise of their own." KMADD Enterprise is big business in Second Life and not only in the quantity of the services they supply, but also in the sought after ‘upmarket' quality of their products that rival any real life trend setters. Kirk and Maddox are not only business partners, they also recently celebrated their first wedding anniversary in SL, and have worked very hard to have achieved such an empire in the virtual world. Visit their new website http://www.kmaddcity.com/page/page/6441148.htm and take some inspiration from two people who have taken SL by storm. KMADD (Region KMadd Enterprise)
