iReport —

This video marks the conclusion of the 2008 Fuji Challenge...the culmination of months of preparation and the following of over 140 donors! Climbing Mt. Fuji 4 times in 24 hours has never been completed

before, standing as a new record.

On September 1st, 2008, the Fuji Challenge was completed in 21 hours and 59 minutes. The Fuji Challenge tested the ability of four men, Doug

Szwarc, Luke Nelson, Mike Raney, and Justin Hoff to climb up and down Mt. Fuji 4 times in 24 hours.

Three of the climbers are military servicemen, stationed overseas in Yokosuka, Japan, while the fourth, Luke Nelson, works for the military

fitness program.

Thanks to others generosity, $11,035 was raised for this event, to be given to the SC Guardian Ad Litem and Shunkou Gakuen Orphanage. Thank you!
