Famed science fiction author Michael Crichton died November 4 in Los Angeles after quietly battling cancer. He was 66.
Crichton was the bestselling author of "Jurassic Park" and "The Lost World," and wrote many other scientific and medical novels such as "The Andromeda Strain." He was also an acclaimed screenwriter and creator of the popular television series "ER."
