Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich has been convicted by the Illinois Senate on corruption charges stemming from President Barack Obama's Senate replacement. Blagojevich has thus been removed from office and will be replaced by Illinois Lt. Gov. Patrick Quinn. He is the 8th governor in U.S. history to be impeached and ousted.
Share your thoughts on Blagojevich's conviction. Was the impeachment process fair? Is the state of Illinois better off without him? And Illinois residents, are you looking forward to having a new governor? Put yourself on video and tell us what you think. Tags: elected_leaders, blagojevich |
