Red Cross: Stories of suffering and survival

The International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement launches the "Our World. Your Move." campaign May 8 to raise awareness of today’s most pressing humanitarian challenges.

 

The date marks the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Solferino, which led to the creation of the International Committee of the Red Cross. This neutral humanitarian organization protects and assists the victims of war.

 

To mark the anniversary, we want to hear from people whose lives have been affected by armed conflict and natural disasters. Share your photos and video, and tell us if you've helped with humanitarian aid.
