Guitarist Les Paul has died at age 94. Though an accomplished guitar player, Paul was probably best known for his invention of the Gibson Les Paul guitar. Along with the Fender Stratocaster, it is one of the most widely used and well-known guitar models in the world. Famed musicians like John Lennon, George Harrison, Bob Marley, Paul McCartney, Keith Richards, and Neil Young have frequently performed with Les Paul guitars, helping contribute to the model’s popularity.

And what about all the iReport guitarists out there? Do you own a Gibson or Epiphone Les Paul? Show it off! In honor of Les Paul, we want to hear your best original guitar lick on video – and if you can, please play it in E major and use a duple meter (2/4, 4/4, etc.). Also tell us why you love your particular guitar. Then the iReport crew will put them all together and see what kind of music we can make!
