Is Jesse Jackson relevant?

The Rev. Jesse Jackson is apologizing for comments he made about Sen. Barack Obama during a recent television appearance.

 

The veteran civil rights leader criticized Obama for "talking down to black people" and made a crude comment about the presumptive Democratic nominee. He later said he didn't know his microphone was on.

 

Will Jackson's comments hurt the Obama campaign? Do they represent a split in the black community? Is Jackson still a force in the political landscape or relevant to you?
