Ever tried to climb Pakistan's K2?

At least 11 climbers were killed in an avalanche on the world's second-largest peak, Pakistan's K2, according to an area mountaineer. K2 ranks just behind Mount Everest in height.

A Web site tracking fatalities on K2 says 66 people have died trying to climb the peak since 1939, and many view the climb as being more technically challenging than Everest.
